Bert and his team are our plumbing contractors for the build. They will be responsible for the installation of the plumbing and heating systems including the installation of the ground source heat pumps which will enable us to sustainably supply Westcombe with hot water and heating. They are a family-owned business providing plumbing and heating services to the south Hams since they were established in 1979 and over the years their employees have won numerous industry awards
Ash and his team are responsible for the installation of the electrical systems into the property and in addition will work closely with Finite solutions to ensure the smooth implementation of the home automation systems. They remain a family-owned business with over 40 years’ experience delivering high-quality electrical services to the South Hams.
Doug is our tree consultant for the project and has been key to agreeing a landscape management plan for the wonderful flora and fauna on the property. He has over 16 years experience working in professional level arboriculture including 12 years as a local planning authority tree officer. Since 2009 Doug has established a leading reputation as a private tree consultant for the West Country.
Phil has been a regular presence on site supporting with the tree management in accordance with the Landscape management plan for the build and has worked closely with Doug Pratt, particularly from the outset when the property was derelict and heavily overgrown! Simon Mattheison and his team from Finite solutions are responsible for the implementation of the Crestron home automation system into the property. This covers the installation of the sound systems, lighting control, TV and automatic blinds / curtains throughout the property. Finite Solutions have over 15+ years of experience and have received many industry renowned awards for their work.
Simon Ballantine and Chris Arnold are our structural engineers for the project and have worked closely with Stephen and Duncan throughout the planning and construction phase
Dan Coleman has been tasked with documenting the build from its original derelict state through to completion using drone footage. Dan has more than a decade of experience working in the property and construction industry and is passionate about new technology and how it can show off property to maximum effect.
The Devon Interiors team is headed up by Leanne and Kate who will be supporting with the interior design of the property. Their work has included developing and visualising the design concepts for the rooms as well as finalising all the items and cabinetry within Westcombe. We think you will agree the visuals look fantastic!
Rikki and Liam of Mendax are our quantity surveyors for the project. They initially support the project with the bill of quantities and tender preparation / analysis and continue to provide their expertise to value engineer areas of the build.
Duncan Lilburn & Neil Elliott and their team are the main contractors for the build. They have a combined experience of over 40 years in the building industry and are one of the leading authorised installers of Nudura Insulating Concrete Framework (ICF) in the South West. In addition, they were Awarded GOLD for the 'Best New Large Dwelling in 2019’ by Devon building control for their project at Driftwood in Salcombe.
Matt and James from Paddle Creative have supported us with the development of the website, branding and signage for Westcombe in advance of it being available as a holiday let. They both have more than 15 years experience in the design industry and their insight and expertise has been invaluable in achieving a luxury brand for Westcombe.
Stephen has been working on the project since we first considered redeveloping Westcombe back in 2014. He has worked tirelessly over the last 6 years to manage a complex and challenging planning phase to get us to the point where we were able to begin the redevelopment. He will continue to oversee and manage the project throughout the construction phase.
